WEF SUMMER CAMPS
2024 SUMMER LEARNING CAMPS A BIG SUCCESS!
WEF was proud to partner with the Wilson School District to offer Summer Learning Camps. The 6-week program was designed to keep academic skills sharp and help prevent the “summer slide” by engaging students over the summer months. Wilson students entering grades 1st through 5th can take advantage of the program. Galen Newman, the Program Coordinator, worked with teachers to provide hands-on STEM learning activities while having fun in an outdoor environment. Camps were held at 2 locations, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am-11 am. We had 73 students attend and provided 17 scholarships. Parent surveys provided positive feedback. We can’t wait for next summer! #studentexperience
