The lesson plan template outlines the expectations for lesson planning within the Wilson School District. The district lesson plan template ensures consistency, focuses on student learning targets and success criteria aligned to standards, and provides a framework for effective planning of instruction and assessment. Professional learning opportunities will be offered on topics related to lesson planning and instructional design.
Student Performance Measure through Individualized Professional Learning (SPM/IPL) FORM LINK
- The SPM/IPL is designed to align an identified student challenge or need to meaningful, relevant professional learning and evaluation of implementation of professional learning in the classroom to improve educator practice.
- Educators will be responsible for:
- Locating the link for SPM/IPL form on the Forms page of the Teaching & Learning website.
- Making a copy of the SPM/IPL form with your LAST NAME in the title.
- Aligning an identified student challenge or need to an action plan that includes embedded professional learning opportunities.
- Submitting the SPM/IPL form to principal for approval.
- Gathering research/planning learning events on the to support the action plan
- Carrying out the steps of the action plan.
- Gathering data to inform progress.
- Completing mid- and end-of-year reflections on progress.
- Entering the link to the SPM/IPL form as an anecdotal note under Domain 4: Professional Responsibilities in PA-ETEP
- An end-of-year evaluation meeting will be held between educator and principal to discuss and evaluate the results of the learning plan.
WSD Instructional Reflection Tool FORM LINK
- The Instructional Reflection Tool is intended to serve as a self-reflection tool for teaching professionals. This tool will assist professionals in planning for their growth and development in the classroom.
- In addition to helping classroom educators reflect on their instructional practices, the purpose of this self-assessment is to gather individual, grade level, building, and district wide data in an effort to assist district and building administration in the development of a more comprehensive and job embedded professional development plan.

- Completing the Google Form while reflecting on personal instructional practices.
- Identifying an area of professional growth.
- Prioritizing this area of professional growth throughout the school year
