Profile of a Wilson Graduate

Every school system is unique, but all are connected by a shared aspiration: that all students have an educational experience that empowers them to create their own future.

Now more than ever, that experience must not only provide for the acquisition of academic content, but it must be intentional about fostering skills and mindsets our students need to thrive in this complex, rapidly changing, and connected world.

The Wilson School District developed a “Profile of a Wilson Graduate” after extensive national, regional, and local research. We gathered input through surveys, focus groups, and meetings with all stakeholder groups, including students, staff, community members, and alumni. The result of that work is the “Profile of a Wilson Graduate,” which identifies the ideal attributes of a Wilson graduate.

The graphic below provides an interactive way to understand the essential characteristics for our students to obtain during their time at Wilson. The “Path for Readiness” provides indicators to help our students navigate their journey and to create a school where “students love to learn.”
