We are celebrating Mental Health Awareness Month throughout May!!!  This is a time for us to raise awareness about mental health disorders that impact many within our community and help break the stigma attached to these disorders!

We know that mental health disorders do not discriminate, and everyone knows someone who struggles with their emotional health.  This month provides a chance for our Wilson Community to support one another and show that no one has to struggle alone.

We will be doing different activities throughout the month of May to help promote awareness.  Please look for emails and social media posts through Wilson and the Mental Health Council about how to get involved and show your support!

We will also be having our Mental Health Community Fair in conjunction with the Berks County Youth Mental Health Ambassadors on Friday, May 15th from 6-8 p.m. at the Wilson High School Gurski Stadium!  Entry is free-we will be having food trucks for food to purchase, therapy dogs, a miniature therapy horse, games on the field, different activities for students and adults, and raffle prizes!

If you are in need of mental health resources, please reach out to your school social worker or school counselor.  You may also access community resources by clicking on this link: https://www.wilsonsd.org/o/whs/page/community-resources
