At the August 28 varsity football game at Governor Mifflin High School, a police incident occurred that resulted in the stadium being cleared. See below for a statement issued by Governor Mifflin regarding the incident.

We recognize that some students may need support processing what occurred. Any student who would like to speak with a counselor is welcome to come to the High School Library on Saturday, August 29, at 10:00 a.m. Counselors will be available to provide support.

From the Governor Mifflin School District: At the Governor Mifflin High School football game this evening, a student reported that another student was in possession of a weapon. Governor Mifflin's Safe Schools team, along with local police, immediately acted in accordance with district safety protocol in response to this report. Upon investigation, the student in question was not found to be in possession of any weapons, nor were any weapons discovered on campus.
