We are thrilled to share the exciting news that the construction of our new Performing Arts Center will officially start tomorrow. This monumental project represents a significant step towards fostering creativity and enriching the arts within our school community. This endeavor is a testament to our commitment to the future, ensuring that the arts will flourish and resonate through the halls of Wilson for generations to come!
As we embark on this journey, we want to inform you about the changes that will occur during the construction period. Please be prepared for the following adjustments:
New Traffic Patterns: Expect new traffic flow around the construction site. All access to the High School’s main parking lot and the Bulldog Field lot will be from Dwight Street only.
Temporary Entrances: A temporary entrance to the gym and auditorium will be in place during construction. Please see the diagram below for details.
Reduced Parking: The main parking lot will have limited spaces due to construction activities. Â Additional parking is available in the Bulldog lot. Handicap parking is available in front of the Lower House, closest to the Natatorium entrance.
You can find further details and updates on our dedicated Construction Project website. We encourage you to visit and explore the site for comprehensive information.
We will be sharing regular updates on the progress of the construction. To stay in the loop, we invite you to subscribe to our Bulldog Blitz e-newsletter here. This newsletter will be a channel for sharing important news and developments related to the construction project.
We are enthusiastic about the positive impact the Performing Arts Center will have on our school and community. Your support and understanding during the construction period are invaluable as we work together to create a state-of-the-art space for generations to come!
Thank you for your continued support of the Wilson School District!
Important Notice: Changes to Parking and Traffic Patterns around WhitfieldÂ
During construction, the only entrance and exit for the Whitfield and Bulldog Field parking lots will be off Dwight Street. This means that for those who utilize the drop-off area at the Bulldog Field parking lot, the only exit available will be onto Dwight Street. Unfortunately, driving behind Gurski Stadium and the High School will not be an option during this construction phase.
We understand these changes may be inconvenient, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time. Our primary goal is to ensure the safety of everyone involved while the construction project is underway.
