Because our Friday night football games typically draw large crowds, we want to share our expectations for spectators attending home games.
These guidelines enhance safety and security at our athletic events, which remain a top priority for the Wilson School District.
Spectator Expectations:
NO Backpacks Allowed: Spectators are strictly prohibited from entering Gurski Stadium with backpacks, duffel bags, or large oversized bags. All personal items are subject to visual search upon entry.
NO Outside Food or Beverages: No coolers, bottles, cans, or outside food may be brought into the stadium complex.
NO Masks or Face Coverings: Spectators may not wear masks, face coverings, or any items that obscure the face, in compliance with the Wilson High School Dress Code, unless medically necessary.
NO Re-Entry Policy: Once a spectator exits Gurski Stadium, they are under a strict no re-entry rule. During home football games, tickets will be sold until the conclusion of the game. Attendees arriving after halftime will still be charged admission.
Secondary Student ID Verification (Grades 6-12): To enter varsity football games, all unaccompanied secondary students from Wilson or the visiting school must present a valid school district student ID. Please note that all students will have their school-issued photo IDs by the end of the day Thursday. Students unable to provide valid school IDs must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or adult chaperone.
Elementary Student Supervision: All elementary school students must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or adult chaperone. Chaperones must remain with and actively supervise their students throughout the event.
ID Upon Request: Any attendee inside the Gurski Stadium complex may be required to show a valid photo ID upon request by WSD administration, event staff, KRE Security, or Township of Spring PD officers.
Students are expected to remain in the spectator seating areas. All students are asked to refrain from gathering at entrances, concession areas, or other non-designated locations, unless waiting in concession lines. If students are found gathering in those locations, they will be asked to return to their seats.
These expectations are intended to help create an environment where our student-athletes, families, and community members can enjoy Wilson athletics in a safe, respectful, and positive setting. Our goal is not to limit participation, but to ensure that everyone can enjoy the event while maintaining appropriate conduct and supervision.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation as we implement these expectations. We appreciate our students, families, visiting schools, and community members who help make Wilson athletic events a great experience.
GO BULLDOGS!
