The Wilson School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Andrew Hoffert as the Assistant Superintendent for Student Services and Programs. Dr. Hoffert’s appointment was approved at the November 7, 2022 meeting of the Wilson School Board.
Dr. Hoffert joined the Wilson School District in December 2019 as the Director of Student Supports and Services. Prior to joining Wilson, he worked at the Downingtown Area School District where he was the Supervisor of Special Education and Assistant Director of Pupil Services from 2010-2014. He was promoted to Principal of the Bradford Heights Elementary school in 2014, and remained in that role until transitioning to Wilson. Dr. Hoffert also was a learning support teacher at the Wyomissing Area Junior/ Senior High School. He received his B.S. in special education from Penn State University and his master of education in special education from Lehigh University. Dr. Hoffert received his doctorate in education leadership and management from Drexel University in 2017.
In his new role as Assistant Superintendent for Student Services and Programs, Dr. Hoffert will develop, design, plan, implement, coordinate, and supervise all student services for students K-12, coordinate district efforts around safety and security, and support the Superintendent in the operation of district functions and the implementation of the district vision and goals. He will also be responsible for the oversight of our Special Education, Athletic, Food Services, Technology, and Transportation Departments.
