Girls on the Run teams across Berks County have officially kicked off their fall season!

Whitfield Elementary’s team of 15 girls in grades 3–5 will spend the next eight weeks building confidence, strengthening interpersonal skills, and increasing their running endurance.

At the end of the program, the girls will celebrate their accomplishments with a non-competitive 5K at Berks Heritage Center in November! #WilsonSD

Mrs. Kasopsky's 3rd graders walked into a full restaurant transformation after the long weekend for a special "Book Tasting!" Complete with tablecloths, place mats, and custom reservations, our young scholars sampled a variety of book series to decide which adventures they'll dive into for the first Series Fiction unit. The menu was packed with great options, and everyone left full of reading excitement! #WilsonSD

Please join us at our opening reception for our 25th anniversary celebration on October 10th, 1-4 pm! This exhibit features artists from our past as well as new artists we are excited to work with in the future. Additionally, we will display the entire Robert H. Chappel Collection to celebrate its 5th anniversary. This school year’s exhibits celebrate our past, present, and future. We started this years festivities with a community exhibit to thank the community. We would not have made it 25 years without your support.

The Robert H. Chappel Collection is our permanent collection that features donated works of art from friends of the gallery, Wilson School District faculty/staff, and Wilson alumni. Like a museum, this collection will be rotated at least twice a year offering students, faculty/staff, and visitors a different experience each time they visit the Wilson High School campus. #WilsonSD

Last week, AP Environmental Science students traveled to Blue Marsh Lake to perform physical and chemical tests on the water. They collected water samples from different depths of the lake, recorded a range of data, analyzed its overall health, and were able to learn about the different layers and types of lakes. #WilsonSD

A reminder that there will be no school for students or staff on Friday, September 4 or Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day. #WilsonSD
