Fifth graders at CT launched into their next reading unit, Researching the Universe, with an out-of-this-world day of exploration and discovery!

Students rotated through a variety of space-themed stations where they designed their own rockets and Mars rovers, tackled solar system trivia and puzzles, created constellation replicas, and explored a discovery table filled with all things space!

The highlight of the day was stepping inside Wilson’s inflatable Star Lab planetarium to explore constellations from both Greek and Native American traditions!

The fifth graders are ready to see where their journey through the universe takes them next! #WilsonSD

Over the past two weeks, our sixth graders from Wilson West and Southern Middle School enjoyed an incredible three-day experience at Camp Conrad Weiser!

Students stepped outside the classroom and into the great outdoors, rotating through a variety of science-based and team-building activities, including ropes courses, archery, outdoor living skills, temperate forest exploration and orienteering. Along the way, they built teamwork skills, challenged themselves and discovered more about the natural world around them.

This long-standing Wilson tradition gives our sixth graders an opportunity to learn, explore and make memories together. A huge thank you to our dedicated teachers and high school counselors who helped make this experience possible! #WilsonSD
