AP Environmental Science students got their feet wet learning about watersheds! These students collected physical data about the Tulpehocken creek, and will also be collecting chemical and biological data in the coming weeks.
Using this data, they will be able to assess the overall health of the creek and learn more about our local watersheds and the impacts we have on them. #WilsonSD

Before diving into the book, A Long Walk to Water, fifth-grade students became water investigators! Students examined different water samples, made predictions about which were safe to drink, and explored how harmful contaminants can be invisible to the naked eye.
Through a series of tests, students discovered that clean-looking water isn’t always safe water, creating a powerful connection to the experiences of Nya and the people of Sudan in A Long Walk to Water. This hands-on launch lesson sparked curiosity, meaningful discussion, and empathy while helping students understand just how valuable access to clean water really is.
The Global Goal, Clean Water and Sanitation, helped students see how this issue affects not only the characters in the book, but people around the world. #WilsonSD

We’re excited to welcome our youngest future Bulldogs, ages 2–4, for a special opportunity to learn, play and connect with Wilson!
Each Mini Bulldogs session will include a fun read-aloud, open play centers and take-home activities.
Sessions will be held at each of our elementary schools from 9:30–10:30 AM and are open to children ages 2–4 who live within the Wilson School District.
Parents and caregivers must stay with their children throughout the event.

Girls on the Run teams across Berks County have officially kicked off their fall season!
Whitfield Elementary’s team of 15 girls in grades 3–5 will spend the next eight weeks building confidence, strengthening interpersonal skills, and increasing their running endurance.
At the end of the program, the girls will celebrate their accomplishments with a non-competitive 5K at Berks Heritage Center in November! #WilsonSD

Complete with tablecloths, place mats, and custom reservations, our young scholars sampled a variety of book series to decide which adventures they'll dive into for the first Series Fiction unit. The menu was packed with great options, and everyone left full of reading excitement! #WilsonSD

This exhibit features artists from our past as well as new artists we are excited to work with in the future. Additionally, we will display the entire Robert H. Chappel Collection to celebrate its 5th anniversary. This school year’s exhibits celebrate our past, present, and future. We started this years festivities with a community exhibit to thank the community. We would not have made it 25 years without your support.
The Robert H. Chappel Collection is our permanent collection that features donated works of art from friends of the gallery, Wilson School District faculty/staff, and Wilson alumni. Like a museum, this collection will be rotated at least twice a year offering students, faculty/staff, and visitors a different experience each time they visit the Wilson High School campus. #WilsonSD

Last week, AP Environmental Science students traveled to Blue Marsh Lake to perform physical and chemical tests on the water. They collected water samples from different depths of the lake, recorded a range of data, analyzed its overall health, and were able to learn about the different layers and types of lakes. #WilsonSD
