Yesterday, Wilson hosted a Safety Summit focused on enhancing school safety and community coordination. Thank you to our local law enforcement, first responders, school leaders, and community partners who joined us to collaborate on critical safety initiatives. Together, we’re building a safer future for our students, staff, and community! #WilsonSD

Happy #MotivationalMonday, Bulldogs!

The Wilson Athletic Department will be hosting a PlanetHS “Support Night” on Tuesday, August 5th from 4:00PM-6:00PM at Wilson Southern Middle School(3100 Iroquois Avenue). This free event is being offered to any family that has a student in grades 7-12 who plans on participating in a sport during the upcoming school year, but may not be comfortable with PlanetHS. This event will assist our families with accessing PlanetHS, uploading completed Section 6 forms, and answering any other questions they may have. Section 6 is the document that the doctor must have completed and must be dated May 1, 2025 or after. Please note that we are not offering physicals at this event. Physicals must be completed by a family physician or urgent care facility prior to this event.
We are asking that both parents/guardians and their child attend this event together. Students should bring their fully charged Chromebook with them, along with their completed Section 6.
We plan on having Spanish speaking staff in attendance.
Please contact the Athletic Department with any questions. #WilsonSD

Congratulations to Wilson graduate Collin Witlox on his Eagle Scout project benefiting the Wilson community!
Collin Witlox, a member of the Class of 2025 and former Cornwall Terrace Elementary student, recently designed and installed a Little Free Pantry at Cornwall Terrace Elementary School. Similar in concept to the well-known Little Free Libraries, the Little Free Pantry encourages a spirit of giving and mutual support through the motto: "Take what you need, give what you can."
Collin explained that the project addresses a very real need: “This will be helpful to the Wilson community since there are many families with food insecurity in our area who often rely on free and reduced meals at school.” By placing the pantry at CT—a central, walkable location—he hopes to serve not just students and families but also elderly residents, people with disabilities, and others who may have limited access to transportation or resources
Collin was supported in his efforts by several fellow Scouts from Troop 456—Peter Bonargo, Connor Heck, Ryan Heck, and Declan Witlox—all of whom are also proud alumni of Cornwall Terrace. Their commitment helped bring this meaningful project to life.
We are proud to congratulate Collin on his outstanding accomplishment and thank him for creating a resource that truly reflects the spirit of service and community that defines the Wilson School District. Bravo, CW! #WilsonSD
