We are fortunate to have a vibrant Scouting community within our school district. From Pack & Troop 431 at Whitfield Elementary and Troop 456 at St. John’s Lutheran, to Pack 862 & Troop 430 at St. Ignatius and Pack & Troop 423 at St. John’s Hains UCC, our local youth are constantly looking for ways to leave the world a little better than they found it.
Service That Lives in Our Neighborhood The impact of these programs is woven into the very fabric of our schools. You’ve likely seen the colorful US map on the kindergarten playground or borrowed a book from the Little Free Libraries at the entrances of CT and Whitfield. These aren’t just projects; they are symbols of the care our students have for one another.
Supporting One Another Through "Little Pantries" In that same spirit of "Scouts helping others," we are proud to host a Little Pantry at Cornwall Terrace. Another is located at the Sinking Spring Public Library. These pantries were fashioned with love to ensure that no neighbor goes without. Whether you are stopping by to drop off a few items or stopping by because you need a few items to "fill in the gaps" this week, these pantries belong to all of us. There is no better way to honor the hard work of our Scouts than by ensuring these resources are used and shared by the community.
Additional Resources for Families For families looking for extra support, we also encourage you to take advantage of the Helping Harvest Food Pantries, which provides supplemental food for students.
