Homework Club is an after-school program offered to students who wish to focus on homework completion/studying. Homework Club is a great way for students to get homework and studying out of the way or to catch up on assignments! Students can also stay to make-up or retake a test or get help from teachers on a limited basis as needed. The club can accommodate a maximum of 20 students (The first 20 to sign up). You should plan to have your son or daughter attend the next scheduled Homework Club day after completing this form, unless otherwise contacted due to the day(s) selected being full. A specific end-date for the club will be communicated to students who are still attending in Spring.
Homework Club will take place in the LGI room 217 (phone extension 1260) from 2:45 PM to 4:00 PM. Different certified teachers from West will oversee the club each day. This will provide students with homework help from a variety of teaching backgrounds and styles. Assigned teachers will help students to the best of their ability, but this is not to be considered individual tutoring. A snack and drink will be provided at the start of the club.
Parents are to pick their student up PROMPTLY at 4:00 PM or students will walk home if applicable. There is also an activity bus available that students must sign-up for EACH day by 12:00 PM in the main office. This bus will take students to the different elementary schools in the district and students must walk home from there. If you are interested in having your student participate, please review and complete the following questions. Please contact Mr. Werley (x1312) or Ms. Heydt (x4245) with any additional questions you have.
