As you are aware, the PA Department of Education and the Department of Health recently released updated short-term closure metrics based on the number of positive COVID-19 cases within a rolling 14 day time period. For Wilson High School, we are required to shift to short-term remote learning when we reach 6 positive cases. Today, we reached that number at the High School and will need to shift into a remote learning environment for the next two days to allow time for contact tracing and sanitization.
With the quickly approaching snow storm, there is a strong chance that tomorrow will be a snow day for all students in the District, therefore all school will potential be closed. If schools are open on Friday, all instruction at the High School will be remote for all learners, including our in-person special education classes. We will resume our regular modes of instruction at the High School on Monday, December 21. Please continue to monitor our District communication channels for updates and thank you for your patience and understanding during this challenging time.
