Hello students, parents, and guardians! The 2020-2021 school year will be my third year of teaching, and I am looking forward to meeting and learning alongside of each and every one of my new students.
I am a 2018 graduate of Penn State University, where I studied Secondary English Education and English as a Second Language. Currently, I am pursuing a Masters of Education, with a Reading Specialist Certification and Instructional Coaching Endorsement, through Kutztown University.
My hope is for students to develop into lifelong readers, poised writers, confident speakers, and analytical thinkers. All of the units of study in the College Prep 10 curriculum aim to help students work towards meeting these specific goals. Despite the fact that we may be learning in non-traditional ways this school year, I will still work diligently with students to help them succeed and enhance their literacy skills.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, writing, traveling, shopping, and attending Penn State football games. Because I love to write, I am the advisor for Wilson’s Writing Club. If you enjoy creative writing, please reach out to me! I would be thrilled to give you information about the club.
Please feel free to contact me at stemar@share.wilsonsd.org or 610-670-0180×6925 with any questions, comments, or concerns. I am looking forward to a fantastic year!
