Hello Bulldogs! I am so grateful to join Wilson High School as I begin my 6th year of teaching. You can find me in the Lower House teaching Reading Foundations in our “Literacy Lounge” classroom. I am also a Special Education case manager for mostly freshman.
I recently moved to Pennsylvania, after living in Georgia for the last 15 years. However, I was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio so I am no stranger to snow and cold weather! While in Georgia, I taught general and special education in an elementary setting. Upon moving to Pennsylvania this past December, I joined Kutztown University for the spring semester as a temporary professor of Special Education. I mentored 30 student teachers to graduation and taught Cognitive Development of Diverse Learners.
Some of my interests include taking road trips with my husband to explore new places and finding challenging new trails to hike. In my free time, I also enjoy Pilates, running, SUP yoga and am working on skiing. You can also find us cheering on the Steelers during the fall with our two cats, Hines and Bettis and heading to Pittsburgh to watch the Penguins play!
I am looking forward to a great year and making Wilson High School my new home! #WeRBulldogs
