This is a reminder that all Wilson School District students will return to their selected model of instruction on Monday, January 11, 2021. This instruction includes in-person learning (elementary), Hybrid (secondary), Wilson Remote Learning and Wilson Virtual Academy in all our school buildings.
In addition, there will be no school for students on Friday, January 15, 2021 due to a professional development day for our staff. In observance of the Martin Luther King Holiday, there will be no school for students or staff on Monday, January 18, 2021. All District offices will be closed, as well, on January 18. Our secondary students will follow a modified hybrid schedule for the next two weeks. You can review it here.
Our ability to continue to offer in-person instruction for our students is a total community effort. As a reminder, we need your ongoing support to help keep everyone safe. Please keep your children home should they show any symptoms from this screening checklist. Other key factors in our plan include the wearing of masks properly (covering both the nose and mouth) as well as maintaining 6 feet of social distance at all times. Through adherence to these guidelines, we will be able to continue to provide our families with choices of instructional models.
If your child receives a COVID-19 positive test result, has been exposed to COVID-19 or is experiencing symptoms, please call your building school nurse to inform them. For a contact list of nurses, click here.
Thank you again for your on-going support of the Wilson School District. We appreciate everything our community is doing to help keep our students and staff safe.
