    The Wilson West Welcome Back dance will take place this Friday, September 29th from 7-9 pm. Admission is $5.00 and benefits our Kid-to-Kid organization. You must be a student at West to attend.

    In keeping with attendance policies and procedures, a signed note is required for ALL absences. Medical appointments require a note from the doctor, including full day absences as well as late arrivals/early dismissals. Absences without a note will be coded unexcused.

  • Schools to Watch Award

    Wilson West Middle School recently earned the distinction as a PA Don Eichorn "Schools to Watch" school. West was selected for its academic excellence, responsiveness to the needs and interests of young adolescents, and its commitment to helping all students achieve at high levels.  The "Schools to Watch" program identifies middle schools across the country that meet or exceed 37 criteria developed by the National Forum.  Congratulations to Principal Wetherhold, staff, students and parents of Wilson West.  Well done!

    Emergency & Inclement Weather Notification

    for School Closing, Delay and Early Dismissal

    As soon as a weather or other emergency situation that may affect the school day presents itself, the Superintendent will be in touch with our Transportation and Operations Directors, as well as surrounding district Superintendents.  He will make a decision based on the information presented to him at the time that the call must be made for the purposes of maintaining student and employee safety.  The Wilson School District has a comprehensive and time-efficient notification plan in place for updating our staff, parents and students.  Please visit www.WilsonSD.org/Emergency to take note of the ways in which we will post any information related to a Wilson school closing, delay or early dismissal for inclement weather or other emergency situation.
