Dear Students, Parents and Guardians:
“Wilson West” “Hard Work = Excellence.” This statement is on our wall in the auditorium lobby. As you prepare for the upcoming school year reflect on the effort you put into your school work and activities in which you are involved. I encourage you to push yourselves beyond what you believe to be your best. If you are not involved in a club, sport or community group get involved. Expand your knowledge base because every opportunity is an opportunity to learn. Academically, don’t settle for an okay grade, put the effort forth which will earn grades that will reflect that hard work. We at West believe that our students are excellent and that the effort they put into their endeavors will prepare them for high school and beyond. Parents and guardians, encourage your children to come to school every day ready to learn. Help them look for opportunities to get involved in school or in the community. Ask them questions about their school day, help them with their homework, look through their agenda book and check their grades online weekly. Let them know that you value their education. I’m looking forward to a great school year and I welcome your input. As always feel free to contact me at anytime.
