Your school counselors continue to support you and your children. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you think we can help you in any way at all throughout the summer months. As always, we’re happy to support you and your child. Our team is checking our emails and phones regularly, and responding to messages.
In addition, this week, members of our counseling team will be available in the library at Southern MS from 10am-2pm on June 8th for any students or staff who would like to drop in for a face to face conversation, or are in need of additional support.
Our Student Assistance Program is available for children and families with mental health concerns. We want to emphasize, however, that if a child is in a crisis – having suicidal thoughts, or any pressing mental health or drug/alcohol issues – you should call SAM crisis (1-877-236-4600 or 610-236-0530) or 911, or go to your local hospital emergency room immediately. Also, please consider letting your child’s school counselor know of any crisis situations.
