A committee comprised of representatives from Sun Federal Credit Union will judge the nominations and select one extraordinary teacher from each school district.
Two teachers from will each receive $500 from Sun Federal and a matching $500 from the Wilson Education Foundation.
One (1) $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a senior from the district with the most nominations.
The winning teachers will be surprised at their May staff meeting with a plaque from Sun and the WEF. The teachers will then be recognized at the Wilson baseball night on 5/29 at the Fightin Phils Stadium on the field just after the first pitches. I’d love to attend either your March or April staff meetings to drum up some excitement about the teacher of the year program and let them know about the credit unions benefits. Your staff is amazing lets get them pumped up and nominating each other. This program is one of my most favorites parts of my job. I feel so lucky to get to give a local teacher the recognition they deserve. And some spending money for the summer break.
