Wilson School District Students, Families and Staff:
We want our school district community to be aware of some guidance that was recently released by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE). This Preliminary Guidance for Phased Reopening of Schools summarizes recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and the Pennsylvania Department of Health, maps these to the state’s Red/Yellow/Green reopening plan, and serves as a starting point for school leaders to consider in preparation for the upcoming school year.
The Wilson School District has developed a “Reopening School” task force that has begun to develop Health and Safety Plans for all school reopening activities, including instruction and extra-curricular activities. The Health and Safety Plans will be tailored to the unique needs of our school district and community.
To assist us in our planning, we would like to receive your feedback to help guide our work over the next few weeks. Please complete this School Reopening Feedback Survey by Friday, June 26, 2020. If you cannot open the survey link, you may access it from our website at www.wilsonsd.org. Please note that this survey is designed for students (rising 6th-12th grade), parents/ guardians and staff.
We are working diligently to create a plan that meets the health and safety needs of our students and staff, while also ensuring they receive the quality education they deserve. We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Please continue to check our website and your email for ongoing updates over the next few weeks.
