Students seeking help with paying their college tuition can get information about financial aid at a pair of events being sponsored by state Sen. Judy Schwank.
The first, a college financial aid awareness seminar, will be held on Thursday, September 27, at 6 p.m. Financial aid experts from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) and the Pennsylvania Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (PASFAA) will be on hand to explain the sources of college aid available to families and answer questions about the application process.
The second event, a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) preparation lab, will take place on Saturday, October 6, starting at 10:30 a.m. Financial aid experts from PHEAA and other organizations will be on hand to help students and their families file online their 2019-2020 Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Students can file their FAFSA forms starting October 1 for the 2019-20 school year.
Both events, to be held at the Muhlenberg Township municipal building at 210 George Street, are free, however, pre-registration is required for the session on October 6 by calling 610-929-2151.
