Berks Summer Band Institute (BSBI)
Now in its 22nd season, BSBI is a multi-generational summer band program open to musicians of all ages and experience levels across Berks County. With four ensembles tailored to different stages—1st Year Band, 2nd Year Band, Middle School Band, and High School/Adult Band—there’s something for everyone!
- 1st & 2nd Year Bands meet Monday evenings, June 16 to July 28, from 7:00–7:50 PM, concluding with a celebratory End-of-Summer Concert on Thursday, July 31.

Berks Summer String Institute (BSSI)
Also celebrating 12 amazing seasons, BSSI is a free summer program designed for string students with at least one year of experience. It offers a supportive, fun environment to maintain and build skills, make new friends, and enjoy ensemble playing under the guidance of experienced music educators and current music education majors.
- Beginner & Intermediate Strings meet Tuesday evenings, June 17 to July 22, from 7:00–7:50 PM and 8:00-8:50 PM, respectively, ending with an outdoor concert on Tuesday, July 29 at 7:00 PM, featuring 5–7 string works. The concert is free and open to family, friends, and the community.
