As we enter the middle of the second week of school closures, we wanted to provide our school community with an update regarding our plans to offer continuation of education in an online environment in the event that the Wilson School District is closed for an extended period of time.
A team of educators has been working since last week to develop the structure for this new on-line learning environment and our professional teaching staff is beginning the preparations to launch this new platform for all students on Monday, April 6 (if the Governor announces that school will remain closed for a longer period of time).
This online learning model will include grade level and content specific instruction. In order to ensure the continuity of our Wilson curriculum, these online lessons have been created by Wilson professional educators. This online instruction is inclusive of a review of foundational content, new concepts and new skills. All lessons are aligned to grade level and content specific State standards.
We will be sending out detailed instructions regarding the launch of our online learning environment next week, so please be sure to check your email for additional information.
Thank you for your ongoing support during this challenging time.
