Yesterday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released the following update: “Fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.”
While the CDC’s updated guidance is yet another step in the right direction, and, Pennsylvania Department of Health Secretary announced yesterday evening that the Commonwealth’s mask order reflects the announcement made by the CDC, please note that currently the CDC mask guidelines include the following under Section 4: A business or a school entity must: Require that all people, including their employees, customers, teachers, students and visitors, wear a face covering and take reasonable steps to enforce the requirement. Therefore, the Wilson School District will continue to adhere to masking protocols until further notice.
When information changes, as we all know it does often, we will continue to provide updates that relate specifically to our staff and our students.
As always, thank you for your continued cooperation and adherence to all COVID-19 mitigation measures.
