We welcome parents to Meet the Teacher Night.  There will be a 30 minute session starting at 6 and another 30 minute session starting at 6:30.

All are welcome!  Child care is not provided.

Our 2nd grade students are visiting the Township of Spring Fire & Rescue Services for their annual Safety Talk and Smoke Trailer Exericise headed up by former Lt. Stephen Gibbs.

Below is the schedule students in each classroom will load/depart and return:  

• Class 1:        8:45-10:15 am (Frymoyer)
• Class 2:        9:45-11:15 am (Logan)
• Class 3:       10:45 am - 12:15 pm (Behm)
• Class 4:       11:45 am - 1:15 pm (Kline)

For your convenience, a copy of each classroom's permission slip is attached. 

Note:  With perhaps one exception, students will eat lunch at their usual time.  Additionally, this is not a trip that includes parent chaperones.

Dot Day is an INTERNATIONAL holiday that we have been celebrating at CT for the past few years. The holiday is based on the book "The Dot" written by Peter H. Reynolds. The book is about a caring teacher who encourages a student to "make her mark". The student makes a dot on a piece of paper. That single dot was the beginning of a journey of self - discovery. 

This year International Dot Day is Sunday, September 15th, so we will celebrate on Monday, September 16. Dot Day is a day to celebrate creativity, courage and collaboration!! 

How can you celebrate?  Wear Dots!

This is the first Pretzel Day event of the year.  Please return your form, or a note with your order, and payment to school.  Pretzels are from the Pretzel Factory in West Lawn and are $1.00 each.

• Dress children in play clothes that may get dirty, including sneakers.  They will be outside all day doing activities in a barn and walking on grass and in cool/wet weather. 
• Wear layers of comfortable, weather appropriate clothing. Again, they will be outside ALL day rain or shine, so be sure to bring rain gear/umbrella if needed.

This is the date the 4th grade students at CT will visit the State Capitol and State Museum in Harrisburg. The bus departs CT for Harrisburg at 8:55 am and returns to CT at 2:15 pm.  Please check with your child's homeroom teacher about report time.  

Please be sure your child dresses in business casual clothing:  khakis, polo shirt, dress shirt/tie, slacks. blouse, sweater, and comfortable shoes.  They will be walking a great deal in and between buildings.   Pack lunch in disposable wrappings.  Do not send beverages in glass bottles or thermos bottles.  And do not send lunch boxes.  There is no need to send money because we will not make any purchases.

This is the date of the 2nd grade trip to the Reading Science Center.

This trip will be broken into 2 separate sessions of 2 hours each.  Students will be eating lunch at school before/after their field trip.
