The safety and security of our students and staff is a top strategic focus area for the Wilson School District. As part of our identified goals in this area, we will be partnering with both the Spring Township and Lower Heidelberg Township police departments to conduct an active shooter training exercise.
This training will take place on Friday, September 16, and Saturday, September 17 from approximately 8 am- 5 pm in the B300 hallway of the High School Upper House building. Since tomorrow is a professional development day for our staff, there will be no students present during the drill. However, community members may notice an increase in police vehicles in the vicinity of the High School campus.
This active shooter drill is designed to help our first responders address the threat of an active shooter by providing awareness, preparation, prevention, and response methods. We continue to be proud of our strong partnership with our local law enforcement and thank them for their commitment to the safety of our schools.
