    Educator Effectiveness

As a result of Act 82 of 2012, all schools in Pennsylvania are required to implement a new rating system comprised of various components that taken together form the basis of a certificated professional’s evaluation.  The various components, once fully implemented and pertinent to a professional’s role in the district, will include: professional performance observation and evaluation based upon position specific rubrics; results of local school district determined student learning objectives (SLO); student academic performance and growth as measured by the Pennsylvania Value Added Assessment System (PVAAS), and a school’s overall performance as measured and reported by the Pennsylvania’s Department of Education School Performance Profile (SPP).  Please see links below that contain further resources for support.

In the left navigation pane, you will find links to each component.  In each component’s page there is information and resources that will help us best implement the effectiveness system over the next few years.
