It was brought to our attention that a community member in the Wilson School District received a text message requesting information about their child as well as a photo to confirm their identity. This text message did NOT come from the Wilson School District nor was it authorized by the District in any way. If you receive a similar message, please note that the Wilson School District would never text you to ask for a photo. If you receive this message, a best practice is to delete the text and block the number. If you ever receive a communication that appears questionable, please contact your child's building office to verify its authenticity.

When utilizing this feature, you will receive an email containing a password reset link for your Skyward Family Access account as long as you have an up to date email address on file. This feature will only work for parents/guardians. If you are a student or staff member, your Skyward login credentials will continue to be managed by the district.
To update your email address in Family Access, log in and then click on “My Account” located in the top right of the window. Type your email address in the “Email” field, followed by clicking Save. You will also have the ability to change your password here by using the “Change Password” button.
If you are unaware of your Skyward Family Access Login ID and/or Password, and you do not have an up to date email address already stored in Skyward, please contact your child’s school office for assistance.
New District Website Update!
The Wilson School District continues to make significant progress with the development of our new website. The original launch date of August, 2017 was very aggressive due to the extreme complexity of our existing site. To put it in perspective, our current site has over 4,000 pages of content and to develop the streamlined approach we feel is best for the end user, our staff has been working for months to edit that content down to 1,500 pages. It has been an overwhelming, yet important task and we are very pleased with all of the hard work our team has accomplished!
Although we could have rolled out a site with limited functionality in the August time frame, after consulting with our website partner, Launch DM, we determined that the best course of action for our community was to delay the launch so that we did not initially provide a website that would frustrate the end user.
According to Launch DM creator and founder, Rob Wolf, "There are many dimensions of complexity and unpredictability when replacing a website that has been in existence for 15 years. Every project has goals, but when presented with complications and the question of whether to cut corners or do the right thing, our approach is always to do what is right and deliver a product that will benefit our clients. In this case, history is at fault, due to the sheer magnitude of intricacies involved with cataloging, coordinatng and reconstructing 15 years of data into something that is beautiful, functional and efficient. Ultimately, the teachers, the administration and the Wilson community will benefit for many years through increased efficiency, reduced costs and improvement of communications."
We are anticipating our new site will launch during the first quarter of the school year. We will continue to provide updates as we aproach the launch date.
