  • NJHS Glow Dance & Dodgeball will be held Friday, April 17th in the West Gymnasium from 7:00-9:00 PM.  Admission is $6.00, or $5.00 with a canned or dry good donation.  Food items will be donated to The Greater Berks Food Bank. Drop off and pick up will occur at the main entrance.

  • Wilson West Night at the Fightin Phils! 
    As part of the Capital BlueCross "Live Fearless" Outstanding Student Fundraiser Program, each Wilson West student is entitled to two (2) free general admission tickets to the May 5th Fightin Phils ballgame.  (Other GA tickets may be purchased for only $5.00).  In addition to a free night at the ballpark, Capital BlueCross will donate $1.00 to West Middle School for every ticket that is redeemed or purchased.  Come out to enjoy the game and support our school!  Click HERE for all of the details.

  • Wilson West Middle School recently earned the distinction as a PA Don Eichorn "Schools to Watch" school. West was selected for its academic excellence, responsiveness to the needs and interests of young adolescents, and its commitment to helping all students achieve at high levels.  The "Schools to Watch" program identifies middle schools across the country that meet or exceed 37 criteria developed by the National Forum.  Congratulations to Principal Wetherhold, staff, students and parents of Wilson West.  Well done!

  • The annual Body Zone trip dates for this year are as follows:
    6th grade April 10th 
    8th grade April 24th
    7th grade May 4th
    There is no cost to students. They can bring money for the snack bar if they would like. Lunch will be provided at school prior to departing for Body Zone at 11:15. Students will be back in the building by 2:30 and will be able to take their normal transportation home. A permission slip was sent home with students; it is only to be returned if you do not want your child to go on the trip.

    Emergency & Inclement Weather Notification

    for School Closing, Delay and Early Dismissal

    As soon as a weather or other emergency situation that may affect the school day presents itself, Superintendent Dr. Rudy Ruth will be in touch with our Transportation and Operations Directors, as well as surrounding district Superintendents.  He will make a decision based on the information presented to him at the time that the call must be made for the purposes of maintaining student and employee safety.  The Wilson School District has a comprehensive and time-efficient notification plan in place for updating our staff, parents and students.  Please visit www.WilsonSD.org/Emergency to take note of the ways in which we will post any information related to a Wilson school closing, delay or early dismissal for inclement weather or other emergency situation.
