{welcome}
On behalf of the PTO I would like to welcome you to the 2009-2010 school year. My name is Carmie Trayer and I am the current PTO president. The PTO’s goals are to financially support critical educational needs and promote the welfare of the school and student body. Over the last several years the PTO has provided funding to the teachers and school for activities and items that the classes would otherwise not have. The PTO has purchased items such as the playground equipment, the information sign out front, the murals in the hall and café. Last year the PTO was able to buy t-shirts for all the children and staff for Shiloh Hills Day, an amplifier for first grade, benches on the playground and several other items. As we know raising money through various events during the year is what allows the PTO to provide all these items and activities that help enrich the students academic experience here at Shiloh Hills. We ask that all parent or guardians become active in the PTO. Honestly, we need your help. Inside your welcome packet is a description of various committees needing volunteers along with a sign up form. We need all degrees of volunteering. We need certain committee chairs, volunteers willing to coordinate activities, or volunteers to make phone calls. Every hour goes along way. We meet the second Tuesday of every month. Please enjoy the year, and make a difference.
Thank you,
Carmie Trayer
