Welcome to second grade at Cornwall Terrace! Our theme this year is:
Blasting Off into Learning at Cornwall Terrace!

We have many wonderful activities and learning experiences this year in second grade. Our first unit in science this year will be Living Things Grow and Change. We will be raising our very own Monarch Butterflies in our classrooms. Second graders will have first hand experience watching complete metamorphosis as our Monarch Butterflies change from eggs to butterflies-right before our eyes!

Treasures Reading Program
In second grade we will be using the Treasures Reading Program. The program focuses on the key comprehensive components of reading: phonics, phonemic awareness, comprehension, fluency, grammar, and writing.
