Our district is comprised of eight elementary schools, two junior high schools, and one senior high school. Our staff is dedicated to improving student learning and achievement. Wilson’s Seven Character Traits Honesty Caring Resourcefulness Perseverance Courage Respect Responsibility Wilson School District addresses character education early and continues teaching its subtle lessons throughout a student’s school years. As an aid to our efforts, we have developed a list of seven character traits that are vital for the development strong, self-worthy young people. Wilson elementary schools build lessons, activities, and events around our seven character traits. A visit from several World War II veterans will include a discussion of the former soldiers courage, responsibility, and resourcefulness. A lively classroom argument about which dinosaur might have been the meanest will camouflage a lesson in respect and honesty.
